On his debut LP, Michael Ray proves he can do a rocking country tune with ease. Whether hitting the road (“Drivin’ All Night”), chasing ladies (“Another Girl”), identifying as a red-blooded southerner (“Real Men Love Jesus”) or dreaming of something better (“Run Away With You”), Ray brings real passion to every line he sings. But it’s on the album's first single, "Kiss You in the Morning”, that he offers the biggest thrills. Ray delivers his verses in rap-like bursts that punctuate the already driving rhythm.
