Tracks like “Lalokat” and the even faster “Ice-Inc” pull you into a maelstrom suggesting an Afro-Caribbean version of ’80s house or techno, while “Trotro” and “Zoomlion” pile hi-hat slams, kissy sounds, whistles and high-pitched toddler chatter over repeated five-note clap patterns. “Cocoawra (Angel)” is even built around a chant curiously reminiscent of Rock Master Scott & the Dynamic Three's “The Roof Is on Fire”.
