Hinder’s second album with former producer Marshal Dutton handling lead vocals is heavy yet taut, balancing colossal riffs with economic songwriting that energises the chugging “King of the Letdown” and the thundering “Another Way Out”. “Too Late” is a bummed-out power ballad that takes cues from country music’s tender moments; “Remember Me” uses grinding-gear guitars to echo the anxiety and depression outlined in the lyrics. Dutton’s versatile growl leads his bandmates into previously uncharted territories, but their rock bona fides remain strong.
