Colombian hip-hop trio ChocQuibTown have been mixing positive vibes and adventurous beats since they unleashed their debut, Somos Pacifico, in 2006. Their sound has evolved dramatically since they were fiercely local rappers slinging proud rhymes about the multi-ethnic struggles in their native city of Chocó, but their fifth album, Sin Miedo, still crackles with the hands-in-the-air energy of their early days rocking underground clubs. While the home-town shout-outs and uplifting bars remain in full effect, ChocQuibTown definitely want the whole planet to join their party now, enticing curious revellers with euphoric Afro-Colombian dance-pop ("Somos los Prietos"), steamy left-field R&B ("Contigo") and electro-meets-reggaetón bops ("Eso Va") that bring out the sass in singer Gloria Martínez.
