After two years of metamorphosing from a bedroom project for Ashwin Nath into a full-fledged band, Kerala quartet emerges with an auspicious debut EP. Across four dance-rock tracks, their weapon of choice—the synthesiser—is underlined by thoughtful and melancholy lyrics. “Why keep living a lie?” asks Nath on “Jennifer”, his takedown of social media-fuelled narcissism. And with one foot on the rhythm gas, their shuffled strumming and hooky guitar melodies permeates “Happy Sad”, which promises to become a new indie favourite.
