She balances romance and whimsy on the perky “I’ll See You In My Dreams”, yet proves just as suited to melancholic musings on “I Can’t Get Started”. Her smoky charisma bolsters the quipping lyrics of “You’re the Top”, while “Time After Time” evokes the sighing majesty of Billie Holiday’s orchestral recordings. And “Who Cares?” is a jazz ballad exactly as it should be: gentle, romantic and utterly timeless.
