To Hell with the Devil is pretty much the definitive Christian metal album. It rode its defiant attitude, confident spirituality and monster guitar riffs all the way to platinum sales—the first album in the genre to ever do so. Though the ominous keyboard overture identifies this as a period piece, the songs themselves still feel alive and electric in their pummelling drums, galvanising guitars and wailing testaments to Christ’s supremacy over Satan. It's not only a towering landmark—it's also a ton of fun.
