Popcaan is the lightest of dancehall's heavyweights, floating riddims into the clouds with his bubbly vocals. Here Brooklyn producer Dre Skull hooks him up with a collection of equally ebullient beats. "Everything Nice", for instance, skips in slow motion like a rock across a pond as the sing-jay narrates the world's chillest afternoon. That calm is hard won, though. On steadfast opener "Hold On", he encourages the oppressed to stand their ground, and "The System" is Popcaan’s rallying cry against the status quo.
