When their 10th anniversary tour was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, metalgaze pioneers Deafheaven decided to record a live album—in the studio. Tracked at Atomic Garden in Palo Alto, California, with their long-time producer Jack Shirley, 10 Years Gone showcases blistering, unvarnished new renditions of live staples “Dream House”, “Baby Blue” and “The Pecan Tree” alongside the 2014 one-off “From the Kettle Onto the Coil”, a reimagining of their early demo track “Daedalus” and an especially intense version of the Ordinary Corrupt Human Love essential “Glint”.
