On his third album in three years, singer, songwriter and composer Jass Manak declares his ambition to be the Justin Bieber of Punjabi pop. Not only does he namecheck the Canadian superstar on effervescent album opener “Shaka Laka Boom Boom”, but he also borrows a song title from the Bieb with “Yummy”, an irresistible piece of ear candy. Altogether, Bad Munda is a veritable variety pack of sweet and romantic confections. With flavours ranging from reggaetón to hip-hop, it sets up Manak for a bright future.
