But for her Apple Music Home Session, she stripped the song back even more to its essentials while giving it a hint of a folky country flavour. She also covers La Roux’s “Bulletproof”—a synth-pop burner from 2009—in a similarly down-home style, slowing the tempo, trading the drum machines for a simple brushed snare and adding a gentle twang and lilt to the vocal.
