The Indian independent music guru’s powerful Hindi lyrics shine throughout, especially on one of his best-loved songs about friendship, “Yaaron”, which strips it all down to a simple drum and guitar. “Harkat” is equally understated, and his cover of Boney M’s “Sunny”—a rare performance in English—rounds it all out mellifluously.
