King of Jeans is the sound of Pissed Jeans sharpening their no-holds-barred noise-punk attack without sacrificing the sloppiness that makes them such an invigorating group. “Half Idiot” tumbles like a boulder crashing down a mountainside, with vocalist Matt Korvette veering between guttural howls and sultry chants. Meanwhile, short and sweet hardcore sluggers like “Human Upskirt” illustrate just how battering the band can be when channelling their chaos into pointed punk catharsis.
