Tracks like "Aankhon Ke Saagar", "Khamaj", "Akhian" and "Teray Bina" epitomised their sound, blending classical and rock. The nuanced lyrics and soulful voice of former lead vocalist Shafqat Amanat Ali resonated across the border. The classically trained Shafqat Amanat Ali may have quit the band in 2006 to pursue solo projects but he left behind a rich legacy before eventually being replaced by Rameez Mukhtar.
