For the second instalment in his Chinoiseries project, Parisian production wizard Onra chops up more of the obscure vintage records he unearthed in Vietnamese flea markets and creates a new batch of beat-tape gems. “A New Dynasty” loops a quintessential South Asian riff over a tidy beat, while the neat bassline of “Mai’s Theme” could score an old Chinese-based western. Elsewhere, “They Got Breaks Two” makes good on its title's promise, as Onra deploys dusty vocal chants over a scintillating hip-hop breakbeat.
