A cornerstone of Chilean rock, Jorge González led a new chapter in his country’s popular music with La Voz de los ‘80. It’s the first album by a Chilean group that could face the most successful Spanish and Argentine bands of that decade’s first half without shame. Immediately embraced by a youth that felt kinship with the rebellious lyrics of "No Necesitamos Banderas", "Mentalidad Televisiva" and "Nunca Quedas Mal Con Nadie”, Los Prisioneros fused the fast rhythms of rock and punk with ska, reggae and even jazz.
