EWF's first album after the retirement of mastermind Maurice White is as effortlessly soulful and finely crafted as ever. Unlike 2005's cameo-filled Illumination, Philip Bailey, Verdine White and Ralph Johnson keep things in the family here, with minimal guest appearances. The rollicking, horn-driven groove of the single "My Promise" is a particular delight.
