Known as one of Latin America’s most prolific pop producers and songwriters, Mexico’s Aleks Syntek lets his artistry blossom on Mundo Lite. A boisterous collection of catchy, feel-good tunes, the LP stands out for its effervescent electronic flourishes and gleeful, steel-stringed guitar rhythms. On the melodious duet “Duele el Amor”, Syntek’s countertenor pairs wonderfully alongside the pixie-voiced Ana Torroja of Spanish group Mecano, while the piano-laced “Te Soñé” is a delightful ballad about a dream woman.
