About Alfred C. Martino
Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In 1971, when I was seven, I became aware of the song, "Chirpy Chirpy, Cheep Cheep." (The version by Mac and Katie Kissoon, I believe). It is a ridiculously infectious tune. At night, my ear at the radio, I used to pray for the song to come on.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? King Crimson, In the Court of the Crimson King (Expanded Edition) Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin IV (Remastered) The Cars, The Cars I grew up with The Cars--they were MY band. The debut album is perfect, though its second side is perfect-squared. King Crimson of 1969-1974 made music that sounds nothing like any other band before or since. Leppelin's Zoso album is obvious.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “We'll Fly Together” Well, first, I am thrilled with the lyrics to this song. They convey exactly what I wanted. As far as the music is concerned, I think I tapped into a feeling of abiding love that matches the lyrics. I'm very satisfied with this one.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The first time I sang in front of an audience, which was only in 2022. I sang my own song, "You Used To Be Mine," and nailed it. The experience was thrilling. I have dedicated myself to becoming a singer/songwriter.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes, basically everything: More creativity. More songs and lyrics. Any kind of sales success. Oh, and then I want to be a Rock Star!
