About Annabelle Sharp
Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was 8 YO, riding in the backseat of my dads explorer. The windows were down, cruising out of our neighborhood listening to his 80's Explosion CD. Seger, The Outfield, Soft Cell, Night Ranger blared through the speakers (my first favorite songs).
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Benjamin Tod, I Will Rise Charles Wesley Godwin, Seneca Zach Bryan, American Heartbreak I draw lyrical inspiration from Tod from his rawness and realness. The story telling on A.H. kept me awake during a straight shot drive from SC to MI. I heard Godwin for the 1st time live when opening for ZB, I was mesmerized and was an instant fan.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Snow” Snow is about my dad, who completed suicide in 2016. I played this song for my coworkers at the fire department, and they encouraged me to record my music. This sentimental song is dedicated to my dad, and also the reason I have an album out today.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My first visits to Mount Doom Studio, where I recorded my album. Recording was something I've always wanted to do, but never thought I'd get the chance. It was a surreal and humbling moment, and I was grateful to have a chance to share my stories.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'm living out my dream by releasing music and sharing these stories. As long as I get to keep doing that, I've accomplished a life long dream. My goal is to keep writing songs for those willing to listen.
