Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a six-year-old, one of the first songs I learned to play was "Stand By Me," by Benny King. That year, at a party with a live band, my dad and I went to talk to the pianist in between sets, and he had me sit down and play the song on his keyboard.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Sublime, Sublime The Beatles, Abbey Road (Super Deluxe Edition) 2019 Remix & Remaster Soul Station is my favorite jazz album, with some of the most soulful solos ever recorded. Abbey Road, my favorite Beatles album, is incredibly innovative, and it includes some of my favorite songs. Sublime is my first FAVORITE album!
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The first time I won a BMI award was very memorable for me because I had worked in film/tv scoring for about eight years, and many of my mentors and colleagues were in the audience. It was the first time I was publicly recognized for my work.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes, I am hoping to work more with orchestras. I have a few projects in the works, but I would like to write and record more music for live orcehstra.
