About Cheyenne Goss
Artist Biography
Hailing from the small Illinois town of Newton, singer/songwriter Cheyenne Goss relocated to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 18 with hopes of making it as a country singer. She attempted to break into the industry by appearing on the 15th season of American Idol in 2016, but made a bigger impact the following year with her debut EP, It Is Written, and its accompanying single, "Done." The daughter of a DJ, Goss fell in love with music as a child. After graduating from high school, she enrolled in Nashville's Belmont University with plans to study the music business. Soon, she decided to take a stab at performing. After an attempt to make it onto the 2016 reboot of American Idol -- she made it to Hollywood, but didn't make the final rounds -- she decided to start putting up video clips of her singing on YouTube. Amassing a YouTube following -- her cover of Sam Hunt's "Drinkin' Too Much" in particular earned a sizable number of views -- Goss recorded the independent EP It Is Written in 2017. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
