Memphis rapper Chris Travis got his start as a member of the rebellious Raider Klan collective. He went solo in 2013 and broke out with the viral single “Crunch Time”.
• The East Memphis native joined up with Raider Klan due to his relationships with members Amber London and Key Nyata.
• He founded his own independent label, Water Boyz Entertainment, once he left Raider Klan.
• Travis credits his 2012 mixtape Pizza and Codeine with laying the foundation for his future success.
• In 2014, Travis joined up with his former Raider Klan comrades Eddy Baker and Xavier Walker—plus L.A.-based rapper Bones—to form the Seshollowaterboyz.
• He’s churned out mixtapes at an impressive pace over the years, and in 2020, he added to his catalog with Waterszn 2.
