About Chubby Parker
Artist Biography
One of the earliest members of WLS-Chicago's National Barn Dance radio program, Chubby Parker specialized in homely nonsense folksongs like "King Kong Kitchie Kitchie Ki-Me-O" and "Nicekty Nackety Now Now Now." He debuted on the National Barn Dance in 1925, playing a five-string banjo and singing. Parker recorded several sides for Columbia during the late '20s. ~ John Bush
