In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
My earliest musical memory is dancing in the kitchen of my upstate New York Grandpa Thibodeau's house, when he was playing a big accordion. There were black and red and white tiles on the kitchen floor and everyone was dancing and laughing. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
John Hiatt, Walk On
Joni Mitchell, For the Roses
Watchhouse, Blindfaller
Each album has songs that make me stop and marvel at their mastery. The songs, performance and production all showcase artists at the top of their game. I encountered each album at different times in my life and each greatly affected me.

“The Fields of Chazy”
This song fleshes out the story of my accordion-playing Grandpa Thibodeau. It was meaningful to me to uncover the story of his losing his first wife and planting an apple orchard in his grief - which I discovered 100 years later. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
In 2018 I was chosen as the winner of the Woody Guthrie Songwriting Contest, and got to open up the last night of WoodyFest on the big stage. There were several songwriting heroes there: Sam Baker, John Fullbright - and it was amazing. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I'd like to collaborate with some established artists that I admire. I'd like to tour the country playing some of the legendary listening rooms: Club Passim in Cambridge, Freight & Salvage in Berkeley - and I'd love to tour the UK and Europe.
