Artist Biography
Formed in 2007, British indie rock band Detroit Social Club is a psychedelic, folk, and soul influenced outfit from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England. Originally a solo recording project of singer/songwriter Dave Burns, Detroit Social Club grew from an anonymous Myspace buzz band to a working ensemble featuring Burns on vocals/guitar/bass, Johnny Bond on guitar/sitar, David Welsh on guitar, Dale Knight on keyboard/guitar/bass, Chris McCourtie on bass/guitar, and David Green on drums/percussion. The band eventually signed to Fiction Records and released two singles including 2008's "Rivers and Rainbows" and 2009's "Sunshine People." In 2010, Detroit Social Club released its debut full-length album, Existence. ~ Matt Collar
