Artist Biography
Letting his words do the talking, Memphis rapper Goon Twinn drove his tracks forward with rapid-fire flows, intense bars, and a minimalist approach to production. The rapper's first key hit, 2018's "Turn Up 1," brought him to underground success in the late 2010s, embodying the flow-driven approach that was to define his early work.
Kicking off his career in 2016, rapper Goon Twinn built his name off the back of a series of remixes, demonstrating his agile flows over key contemporary instrumentals. His debut mixtape, recorded at the age of just 17, arrived in 2018: titled 2 Days in Hell, the project gave Goon his first hit, the anthemic "Turn Up 1." Emblematic of the rapper's style thus far, the track showcased the musician's relentless delivery and swaggering bars, quickly racking up millions of views across streaming platforms worldwide. A second tape, Hell & Back, arrived later that year, offering third and fourth installments in the "Turn Up" series alongside more personal joints like "Voices" and "Again." Finding continued success with banger-centric production, the rapper landed another hit with 2019's "Pop My Shit, Pt. 1," which was soon followed by a second installment, "Pop My Shit, Pt. 2," in January 2020. ~ David Crone
