About Jamez Martin
Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember Sophomore year in High school I showed everyone my first studio session. It was the summer of 2006 and Reggaeton was paving its way into popular music. The praise and feedback I received motivated me to put in the work to become an artist.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Arcángel, El Fenomeno (Special Edition) Don Omar, King of Kings Tego Calderón, El Abayarde I learned how to rap and sing by following the way these artists flowed and delivered their hooks and verses. Also the music production was revolutionary in a sense that other genres were beginning to fuse paving the way to what Latin music is today.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Se Mueve Fuego” I wrote this song remembering my experience dancing with a girl I liked. I describe how I couldn't get her out of my mind because the way she moved was burned into my memories. I compare her to dancing like flames.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My most memorable moment in my career so far was performing live at Foxwoods Premier Theatre in Connecticut. Jhay Cortez was the main event. The show was sold out with more than 4000 people.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have a long list of goals. One of them is participating in big latin music festivals that are held around the world. Also in my bucket list is selling out arenas and stadiums in different countries.
