Uruguayan Latin rock band and theater company la Tabaré began performing live by the end of 1985, participating in a festival called Montevideo Rock in 1996, playing along with Argentinean Sumo and Chilean los Prisioneros, among others. After signing up to Orfeo, the group recorded Sigue Siendo Rocanrol, producing a show called El Espectaculo Mas Asqueroso del Año in 1988. A year later, they released Rocanrol del Arrabal and successfully played La Opera de la Mala Leche; ¿Qué Te Comics-Te was released in 1992, followed by Sadomusiquismo, released by Ayui-Tacuabe. In 1993, la Tabaré teamed up with Bersuit Vergabarat, who were acclaimed in Montevideo and Buenos Aires, recorded Apunten...¡Fuego! in 1994, and performed a show called El Acusticon in 1995. After touring around the country, the group made Yoganarquía in 1997, later performing a play called Putrefashion. ~ Drago Bonacich
