A Seattle pop outfit with indie-folk and Americana roots, The Head and the Heart has been topping the charts since 2009.
∙ The group formed in 2009 when the members connected through a series of open-mic nights at a local pub.
∙ After their self-released, self-titled debut became a local sensation, indie label Sub Pop signed the band in 2010 and reissued their first album, which has since been certified Gold.
∙ Let’s Be Still, their 2013 sophomore release, reached No. 10 on the Billboard 200, and their 2016 follow-up, Signs of Light, did even better, peaking at No. 5.
∙ The band appeared in the pilot episode of Roadies, a 2016 TV drama created by Cameron Crowe.
∙ In 2020, they hit No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart for the third time with “Honeybee,” a track off their Living Mirage album.
