Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The earliest musical memory is on Kathleen Lane in a suburb outside of Chicago. My dad and me would walk hand and hand every Saturday morning up to Ms. Huburd's house to take piano lessons together. I was 6. He was 32. I love this picture so much.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Eagles, Hotel California Eric Church, Chief George Strait, Troubadour For me it's always been about the songs. It's a real life story that plays out riding a melody that is unforgettable, haunting, sad, or pedal down, fast. Strait's "Brothers of the Highway" is my favorite cut as a songwriter. "Troubadour" is magic.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “New Year's Prayer” I wrote New Year's Prayer on Christmas Eve 2020. Our entire world was shut down. I wrote this out of a pretty desperate place. Songwriting has always helped me write myself out of the dark. Even then, praying was the only way out.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being awarded "Song of the Year" for a song I cowrote called "Trains I Missed" (by Balsam Range) at the IBMA awards is probably my favorite thing. Can I have two? Playing the ACM awards After Party with a prior group of mine Farewell Angelina
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I wouldn't mind 100 great paying dates for myself and Six One Five Collective. I would love to win a Grammy, ACM or CMA award....oh yea I want a #1 Country Record. A girl can dream right?
