In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up music was core. My mom used to play lots of jazz and R&B around the house, and my uncles used to blast all sorts of rap music from the locals like Pro Kid, Kuli Chana & HHP to US rap music Kanye, J.Cole, Jay-Z whenever I was with them
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? J. Cole, 4 Your Eyez Only Kanye West, Graduation Tyler, The Creator, Flower Boy These 3 albums are special, Graduation is nostalgia at best and basically sums up my childhood. 4 Your Eyez Only is my favourite Cole album and Flower Boy had a significant impact on my identity, it taught me how to be myself and to embrace myself.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Summer '06 (feat. Lanyo)” Summer '06 was the introduction to me and my story, it's the song that got people knowing who i am and what i do, before that i was like any other "soundcloud rapper" on the come up, but with this song? we did the most and it is still on rotation.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable has to be when i performed for the first time at my school's Spring Ball, it was vibrant, lovely and everyone was going crazy, even the teachers. The people in the crowd were my friends and they knew the songs singing every one too
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have ALOT on my list. i still have to make it first, be cemented as one of the greatest rappers to come out of South Africa, work with my idols and inspirations, perform at sold out shows and go on tour worldwide, get a grammy and go number 1 too.
