Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Music came to me in an overcrowded car with my parents and siblings on a summer holiday to the coast in '95. I have great memories of ice cream, beaches, sunburn and a mixtape of Bryan Adams, Elton John, Jennifer Rush and Roxette.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Coldplay, A Rush of Blood to the Head Mumford & Sons, Wilder Mind The Lumineers, Cleopatra Wilder Mind signified Mumford's coming of age and established them as an excellent rock act. Cleopatra is timeless prose - storytelling at its best and an ode to life, whereas Coldplay's second album is a masterful interpretation of unrequited love.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Jungu Josh” Not only is it the theme song of my fantasy book series (also Jungu Josh), but the recording session brings back fond memories - I recorded in a tiny room and couldn't afford a choir so my friend and I used our own voices to get that choral effect.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing with my supporting band at the renowned Splashy Fen festival in Underberg, South Africa. The crowd was large and engaging, and being part of such a quality line-up of indie artists was an absolute honor.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Too many things: I would love to go on an acoustic tour to Australia, record an alternative/kumbaya-styled album inspired by nature, and write a German pop song!
