About Richter Ensemble
Artist Biography
Britain's Richter Ensemble is primarily a string quartet but also expands to take on works in larger media. The group plays instruments with gut strings and presents programming that highlights connections among works from the 17th to the 21st centuries. The Richter Ensemble gave its first concert in Litchfield, United Kingdom, in the fall of 2018. The group consists of violinists Rodolfo Richter and Rebecca Huber, violist David Wish, and cellist Jennifer Morsches. In 2020, the Richter Ensemble released its debut album, Vienna 1905-1910. Planning to record the complete string quartets of the Second Viennese School composers, the ensemble released its recording of the complete published string quartets of Webern in 2023, combining them with a string quartet reading of Bach's The Art of Fugue, BWV 1080.
