About Robert Goulet
Artist Biography
After a decade of paying dues, the eternally distinguished Robert Goulet made his Broadway debut in 1961 as Lancelot in the musical CAMELOT, becoming the definitive vocalist for the bewitching standard "If Ever I Would Leave You." He signed with Columbia Records in 1962, finding the top ten with his first single "What Kind Of Fool Am I?" while snagging the Grammy for Best New Artist. Albums like ALWAYS YOU, SINCERELY YOURS, and MY LOVE FORGIVE ME were regularly among the best-sellers. He returned to the stage in 1968's THE HAPPY TIME, winning a Tony Award in the process, and remained one of the Great White Way's leading lights up until his sudden death in 2007 at 73.
