Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Very young, I was forcing my cousins and friends to listen to me sing (with their eyes closed) when my parents had gatherings and we had family over. I was so shy, but for as far as I can remember, I always wanted to showcase my “hidden talent”.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bryson Tiller, T R A P S O U L Summer Walker, Over It dvsn, SEPT 5TH Over It : The only one that I listened to that spoke for me at a stage of my life where I needed it the most. SEPT 5TH : Some tracks completely changed the way I understood music and sound. TRAPSOUL : The first album that was a "no-skip" to me
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Bother Me (feat. Jeff Sanon)” I felt very free writing the song and didn’t hold back - I was also very confident that Jeff was going to deliver. The song is very “me” like. The low vocals, the mellow instrumental, the “straight-to-the-point” lyrics.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Reaching 10,000 views on the music video for "Duh", in less than 24 hours. I didn't have a team to help me reach milestones - everything was organized by me and I paid all expenses myself. It was organic, which felt a thousand times more rewarding.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So many things - I haven’t done so much just yet. I think the next one would be travelling for music. I’d love to hop on a place and visit another city solely to give out a show. I would feel accomplished.
