About Sopädia
Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I have very fond memories of getting my first CD, which was Aaron's Party by Aaron Carter (RIP). I used to dance around the living room while blasting it on my dad's stereo.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Periphery, Periphery II Savant, Overworld Seven Lions, Days To Come - EP Periphery II introduced me to my favorite metal band. Overworld is mostly bangers, with Savant becoming my favorite electronic artist. Days to Come was what made me fall in love with electronic music in general and inspired me to start producing.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Upward” I love this song because it's the first song where I dropped all the pressures to write a headbanging hit and just let my instincts take over. I went with what felt good to me and the result is an amazing song that I can jam out to.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The moment that really stands out to me is when my friend and first mentor reached out to me to tell me he thought one of my songs could be released through a label he worked for. The label ended up falling through, but the vote of confidence helped!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'm just starting out! I have big plans and a long bucket list. First up, there's a specific venue in LA that I want to play at by the end of the year. I'm also starting a new schedule of releases and I'm hoping to have 6 new songs in 2023!
