About The Steve Taylor Three
Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first concert was Van Halen at Joe Louis Area in Detroit. It was on my 13th birthday in 1986. It was a general admission concert and I was small, so I worked my way up to the front. Seeing Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth up close was amazing!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Counting Crows, August and Everything After The Beatles, Revolver Tom Petty, Wildflowers With a band like the Beatles, every album is a classic, but Revolver has always been my favorite. August and Everything After was a game changer for me in terms of lyric writing. Song for song, Wildflowers is a masterpiece.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “This Old House” A few years ago, my parents sold the house I grew up in. I knew as an adult that someday this would happen, but I still wasn't prepared. I wrote this song because it was cheaper than going to therapy.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? For our 2018 album "The Tennessee Sessions", we recorded half the album in Nashville and half the album in Memphis. We did a recording session at the legendary Sun Studios in Memphis. We recorded live with a four piece horn section.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We love writing original songs and recording them. We love to play festivals and get our music to as many people as possible.
