About The Tremolo Beer Gut
Artist Biography
Armed with their Hawaiian shirts and vintage surf rock, Denmark natives Sune Wagner (guitar) and Yebo (drums) joined together under the moniker of the Tremolo Beer Gut in 1998. With Per Sunding (bass) and Jengo (guitar) added to the lineup, the quartet of instrumental quirkiness brought along their whitecap covers of Kraftwerk and Sonic Youth before releasing their first single, "While Squaresville Is Watching from Afar...," in 1999. "The Crunchiest of Frogs" followed that same year, along with the band's first full-length, The Inebriated Sounds of the Tremolo Beer Gut. Wagner's subsequent success with the Raveonettes led to his departure from the Tremolo Beer Gut, and band producer the Great Nalna (aka Ulrik Petersen) was drafted to replace him. ~ Mike DaRonco
