Tin Tin Out's Popular Music Videos
Artist Biography
UK dance music outfit comprising Darren Stokes and Lyndsey Edwards. The group was formed in 1993 when Stokes, also a renowned DJ, was A&R Director for Pulse 8 Records (responsible for signing, among others, Glowormās āI Lift My Cupā and Urban Cookie Collectiveās āThe Key: The Secretā). He met Edwards, an acclaimed keyboard player and musical technician, on a session for the label. Adopting the name Tin Tin Out they undertook a burgeoning repertoire of remixes, including Jon Pleased Wimmin (āPassionā), Lisa Moorish (āThatās The Way It Isā) and Michelle Gayle (āFreedomā). In their own right they reached the UK charts in August 1994 with āThe Feelingā, which featured rapper Sweet Tee, and the following March with a memorable version of āAlways Something There To Remind Meā featuring Espiritu singer Vanessa Quinnones (the Top 20 hit was later used on UK televisionās football programme Endsleigh League Extra). They signed to VC Recordings in 1995, releasing Always later in the year. They enjoyed their first UK Top 10 hit in March 1998 when a version of the Sundaysā āHereās Where The Story Endsā, featuring the vocals of Shelley Nelson, reached number 7. The follow-up single, āSometimesā, stalled at number 20 in September. The following yearās collaboration with Emma Bunton of the Spice Girls, a lame cover version of Edie Brickellās āWhat I Amā, reached UK number 2 in November.
