About Tommy Ambrose
Artist Biography
Tommy Ambrose first appeared on CBC-TV's Cross-Canada Hit Parade in 1956. He hit the road and sung for three years, and in 1959, he received his own variety show, The Tommy Ambrose Show. His first hit, "The Magic of You," appeared that same year on Sparton. His show ran for four years, after which Ambrose began to focus on studio work. The mid-'70s produced a minor country hit, "Our Summer Song," and a gospel music series on CBC, Celebration. With Doug Riley's jazz band, he recorded Sweet Times and Ambrose at Last. He currently works as a commercial jingle singer. ~ John Bush
