About Tonnerre
Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The summer of my 7th birthday, my aunt was playing "Für Elise"(Beethoven) on my grandparent's old piano. I loved it very much, but she didn't want to teach it to me. So I learnt it alone by ear memory, and that was the start of my passion for music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Arthur Rubinstein, Chopin: Nocturnes Daniel Barenboim, West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, Beethoven for All: Symphonies Nos. 5 & 6 "Pastoral" Glenn Gould, Bach: The Well-Tempered Clavier, Books I & II, BWV 846-893 I love Beethoven for his versatility and passion, and his 5th and 6th symphony are, in part, the origin story of my artist name Tonnerre. Bach teaches me intricacy, perfection, minimalism. From Chopin, I learnt the melancholy and empathy of melodies.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Morning Bloom” "Morning Bloom" narrative is to stay positive despite the darkness that surrounds us. It's a musical embodiment of resilience, akin to the gentle touch of the first morning light on young leaves, piercing the darkness of the still-sleeping forest.
