Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. It was May 2008 in Moscow at a DevilDriver concert. The hellish debauchery made guitarists Fkod and Beerdevil terribly certain that they must start playing thrash, mixing it with some more modern styles. It was enlightenment by metal.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? DevilDriver, The Last Kind Words Metallica, ...And Justice for All (Remastered) Violator, Chemical Assault Violator made us headbang so wildly that we knew we wanted to play a mix of thrash and something. We decided to form the band at a DevilDriver gig. …And Justice for All needs no explanation, it’s unforgettable, a pinnacle of metal.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Displaced” This is an all-round great metal song that has it all. Intro, heavy verse, memorable chorus, breakdown and wild fast part in the middle. It’s just a real banger. The cover art and subject matter are very much on today’s agenda.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We had an amazing show in 2010 opening for Hatebreed, the venue was packed. Then we had a really cool garage concert, proper DIY with total havoc. And when we opened in Moscow for Cannabis Corpse, they said our show was one of the craziest they saw.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We've barely even started! We've been on hiatus for 10 years and now want to tick a lot of boxes: new album, play Rock in Rio, put out some crazy technical stuff then mellow stuff, then wear all leather and play cheesy power metal.
