About Walter Anderson
Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 4 years of age, I remember my mother giving me a toy organ. It had about 12 keys, and it was battery operated. Once you flip the switch, a fan would turn on and a harmonica-like sound would be produced when a key was pressed.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Divine Destiny” I wrote this song in 2018 as a gift for my friend's wedding. It was originally written for harp. But, after releasing the solo piano version, I felt drawn to the new timbre and the song itself had almost a new dreamy quality to it.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moment by far is the night I met Stephan Moccio. My wife and I were waiting outside at the concert venue when Stephan walked up to the door and greeted us. After the concert, he spent time with us to talk and get to know us.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to visit Abbey Road and record my orchestral tracks with the London Symphony.
