About You, Me and This Fuckin' Guy
Artist Biography
You, Me, and This F****n' Guy is an offshoot of avant-garde rock band King Missile, with poet/spoken word artist John S. Hall assuming the personality of a cantankerous, loud-mouthed New Yorker who loves nature. Expanding on an initial EP, the project's first full-length, Garden Variety Fuckers, was released in 2020.
John S. Hall performed several shows with the Los Angeles indie pop duo LoveyDove (Azalia Snail and Dan West) in September of 2014. They decided to make this the fourth incarnation of Hall's best-known project, King Missile. Together, they recorded a series of poems that Hall had written under his persona "This F****n' Guy." A six-song CD titled This F****n' Guy was issued by New Zealand label Powertool Records in 2015, billed as a King Missile IV recording, and the trio toured the label's home country for its release. Eventually, the trio recorded more tracks and decided to release an album under the name You, Me, and This F****n' Guy. Garden Variety Fuckers was issued by Dromedary Records in 2020, containing all of the songs from the previous King Missile IV release plus six additional tracks. ~ Paul Simpson
