Kingston, Ontario quintet The Glorious Sons have become the toast of Canadian radio with a sound that coats classic-rock grit in modern pop shellac. On early anthems like “Mama”, they were clearly indebted to the bluesy grooves of Led Zeppelin and the country tilt of late-’60s Stones. More recently, they’ve followed the lead of fellow Ontarians Arkells by fusing old-school soul, contemporary indie and hip-hop-inspired swagger.
