Formed in the late '90s, All That Remains fuse biting, memorable melodies with their death-metal origins. But that's not their only trick: The driving chug of “Six” is powered by some dizzying double-bass drumming that segues into dreamy guitar leads and back into a riotous fray of distortion. “Chiron” charges ahead like a wrathful centaur, then briefly gives way to an acoustic interlude. And the solo on perseverance anthem “Two Weeks” highlights their stupefying technical abilities.
