Mastodon videos are trippy feasts very much mirroring the information-overload aesthetic of their proggy sludge. Sci-fi pops up a lot; perhaps the coolest example is the intergalactic mysticism of “Sleeping Giant”. There's also plenty of horror, like the garish freaks pumping fists to “Blood and Thunder”. And then there are moments of dark psychedelia, including the hypnotic kaleidoscopes and visionary animation oozing from “Colony of Birchmen”.
