Sandoval the band rose from the ashes of the much-loved Latin pop duo Lu in 2008, when Mario Sandoval set out to blend a new-found passion for heartfelt rock with his former act’s chart-friendly approach. A series of hits in his native Mexico would follow for the singer and guitarist, starting with the melodic, anthemic smash “A Quién tú decidiste amar”. Over the years—and gradual line-up changes—his sound has expanded, making room for slinking disco swagger (“Cuánto Más”) and even channelling Lionel Richie’s ’80s classic “All Night Long” on the seductive “Quédate - Llévame” with GRECIA.
