Few have done more to bridge the worlds of minimal, techno and deep house than Steve Bug. In the '90s, after cutting his teeth in the clubs of Bremen and Hamburg, he first made his name as a producer with his Raw Elements label, but it was a move to Berlin at the end of the decade that saw him perfect the dark, hypnotic style associated with his Poker Flat imprint. The years since have seen the pendulum swing between stripped-down jack tracks and the deeper, more soulful offerings that are the specialty of his Dessous label. Regardless of the style, his sensual intensity remains constant.
